CLARK COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT

Clark County School District is the fifth largest school district in the country, educating almost 75 percent of all students in Nevada with more than 320,000 students enrolled in Kindergarten through 12th grade. The district encompasses 357 schools and approximately 8,000 square miles in southern Nevada and is a minority majority student district. With more than 40,000 employees, CCSD is also the largest employer in the state.

SOUTHERN NEVADA ASSOCIATION FOR THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG CHILDREN

The Southern Nevada AEYC is a local chapter of the Nevada Association for the Education of Young Children and the National Association. SNAEYC serves individuals working in early childhood education in the Las Vegas/Clark County area. They sponsor educational events, advocacy activities, special events such as the annual ECE Awards Night, and have regular membership meetings.

NEVADA ASSOCIATION FOR THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG CHILDREN

The Nevada Association for the Education of Young Children (NevAEYC) is the state affiliate organization of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NevAEYC promotes high-quality early learning for all children, birth through age 8, by connecting practice, policy, and research. We advance a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and support all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children.

SOUTHERN NEVADA HEALTH DISTRICT

The Southern Nevada Health District is one of the largest local public health organizations in the United States. The health district serves more than 1.7 million residents, which is 70 percent of Nevada’s total population. Also, the district is responsible with safeguarding the public health of more than 37 million visitors to Las Vegas each year.

Department of Health and Human Services Child Care Licensing serves Nevada’s communities by ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of children in licensed child care facilities.
